snowy discouragement

Laura: so today my LSAT scores un-officially came in...andddd they were not as good as i hoped, i mean i can get into law school but i will not be applying anywhere like i had planned. so as the snow is falling and i'm writing this, i'm reevaluating my plans...which is a little overwhelming right now. on a brighter note, i finally got to see my friends after hermitting for the last couple of days. i don't know what it is but the first few days of break seem to put me in an anti-social mood and all i want to do is watch trashy tv and sleep. but finally i have emerged from my house and have started getting ready to travel...which entails a lot of laundry, like epic laundry. the holidays were fabulous i got lots of nice prezzies, including five flannel shirts (apparently i needed 5?) oh well at least i'll be warm and toasty in the freezing apartment. hopefully the new year will bring higher lsat scores and lots of good changes.

Dear Stalker Boy

Why do you feel the need to facebook creep on me every day? We have never been friends. I barley even know you. It is 9:30 and you have already tried to make contact, it is way to early for that. Please get some friends of your own. I will no longer be responding to your stalker-ish attempts to be my friend.

Thanks,

Emily

Can we just talk about how much I HATE my landlord! lets start off with the fact that nothing ever gets fixed, she never believes us when we say our washing machine bracken(as a result i have had to wash my stuff in the tub), oh and it took a complaint to the code enforcement office just to get her to come look at the window. But this morning was one of the more annoying tings she has done. We woke to sounds of banging upstairs, then realized we had no water, then later came home to a giant gaping hole in the bathroom ceiling. AWSOME!

on another note our Christmas tree is awesome! it is pink and decorated with paper umbrellas!

Maybe tomorrow will be better and Kristen will FIX OUR STUPID BATHROOM!!!!!!!!

-Emily

last time i'll bitch i promise!! okay well maybe not the last time...

Laura: so this morning started off wonderfully...there was no water. literally no water, come to find out that our landlord had shut it off (thanks kristin!) so while i'm brushing my teeth using our brita filter there is a frightening noise and a chunk (okay a chunk may be an exaggeration) a piece of our bathroom ceiling falls and i look up to see a drill sticking out...and a voice says..."did i drill a hole in your ceiling?" why yes. yes you did. thanks. anyways sooo a few hours later, i find all my crap in the nasty kitchen sink (i mean it's not that gross but really who wants to find all their nice skin stuff where they put food?!) there is no longer a mini hole in the ceiling but square foot hole, and plaster is covering the floor.  on the bright side, we have water! ughhhhh!!!! but public skating and breakfast at magnolias with my skating girls makes up for the fact that we can't use our bathroom and i really need to pee right now.

rawrrrr....i'm trying to stay in the christmas spirit, despite the problems with our apartment and the crazy shoppers :)

christmas shopping...psht no one needs prezzies :)

So Emily and I just got back from the gym and have turned to the fucked up lives of those on true life, which feeds my reality tv addiction...if you haven't watched jersey shore, start watching! Lately i've been attempting to go to the gym, so far i've been pretty good, but let's see how long it'll last when the weather really gets cold. christmas is in 4 days and i still need to buy presents! ahhh!!! tonight i hopefully will get to spend time with some friends from high school as long as everyone gets back into burlington safely, this blizzard is putting a serious damper on my holiday plans, and it's not even snowing here ughhh stupid airports and their stupid snow problems!! on a happier note the christmas season is by far my favorite--from the starbucks red cups to church street lights, i love being home for christmas!

Survival of the Fittest

Laura: Today is the end of exam week and Emily and I are celebrating--with a bit of cheap champagne (nothing like celebrating on a budget)!!! Finals are finally over, hell week has been survived, which is why this entry is entitled "survival of the fittest" and it's finally time for vacation...! Plans for this vacation include working, being outdoors, and of course seeing everyone. Hopefully this vacation will also include new (bullet-hole-less) windows, a washing machine that is willing to run at least a full cycle, and front page news that doesn't include Tiger Woods. This blog is a new thing that I wanted to start with Emily so we can join the technology revolution and talk about things that we are passionate about...also I just really like talking about myself...hehehehe...anyways this blog is just for funsies, nothing serious, so don't be surprised if Emily and I wax poetic about completely random things like....fish or our fab pink christmas tree.

and now a special quote for vacation goodness: "we've got to measure goodness by what we embrace, by what we create, and by who we include." (Chocolat)

it's time for mac and cheese :)

Is it Christmas yet?

VACATION! Exams are finally over and Christmas is just around the corner. Laura and I decided to celebrate with a spontaneous trip to Friendly's for friend-Z's (they where delicious!!!) and then to P-chops for some much needed supplies. We are now sitting on the couch mimosas in hang watching Pixar shorts. What an excellent start to the holidays!

On a separate note I would just like to welcome Otis and Titan into the 316-3 fam!
well until next time ....

Emily :P
