it's amazing how quickly summer becomes completely full of things to do. my internship has been an amazing learning experience so far and will continue to be since i will be spending half my time at the childrens advocacy center, a part of the chittenden county special investigations unit. i am super excited to start this new part of my internship and i can't wait to become involved at this new office.
in other news, i am still working part time at parks and rec, they just can't get rid of me, yet. i have started to think of parks and rec as my vacation from work since i spend most of my time reading "fluffy" novels, with a few serious ones thrown in. latest faves: tim dorsey, stieg larson (genius), lisa lutz, and kyra davis.
thankfully emily and i have both seriously moved into our apartment on north willard. i was the latecomer again, but i finally have all of my stuff. unfortunately the moving process never seems over as we are still working on our kitchen and just recently (as in today) got our lighting fixed. nevertheless it's been an adventure at this new place, but i love it.
it feels strange that summer has flown by so fast, i can't believe that it's almost august! i can't say that i'm not excited to start school in a few short weeks, i haven't had a summer this busy/stressful/crazy in a while and i'm looking forward to the comfort of having a specific schedule.
